As of July 01/2014, ALL employers must ensure that ALL workers have completed the Worker/Supervisor Awareness training (Regulation 297/13). This training focuses on the health and safety rights and responsibilities of workers, supervisors, and employers. This training is part of a Ministry of Labour initiative to educate workers in construction about their rights, responsibilities, and involvement in safety while at work.
Participants will learn:
the IRS (Internal Responsibility System)
Responsibilities in the workplace (employer, supervisor and worker)
JHSC (Joint Health and Safety Committees)
Workers Rights in the Workplace
Statistics and other related resources.
DURATION: Approximately 2hrs of in class participation.
